Kalecia Williams, 16, was found bleeding to death in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta, just one day after Christmas, MTO News confirmed. The teen girl was rushed to a local hospital where she died of an apparent gunshot wound to the vaginal area.
Now her family is looking for answers – like WHAT happened, WHY, and WAS THE TEEN GIRL SET UP??
Kalecia, who attended Crawford W Long Middle School, was just like any American teen. She liked watching Tiktok videos, dancing, hanging out with friends and trying on makeup.

So when she asked her parents to go to a party with a group of girlfriends, they didn’t think anything of it. Hours later, Kalecia was shot in the vaginal area and killed.
Atlanta police said she and a teenage boy were alone inside a hotel room at the time of the shooting. Investigators said the two were acquaintances and could have gotten into an argument.
The teen boy was arrested. He is also facing a sexual assault charge, felony murder, aggravated assault, reckless conduct, and possession of a pistol by persons under 18 years of age. He was booked into the Metro Youth Detention Center.

But the family still has a lot of questions surrounding Kaleica’s death, including – how did she get from the hotel room to the lobby? The family believes that Kalecia may have been set up, and she may have been dragged to the lobby by those who set her up.
The family suspects that other girls were at the hotel with Kaleica and participated in her killing. They also are concerned that the 16 year old teen may have been set up by one of her friends.
And MTO News obtained a video, which suggests that there may have been more to the killing. In one video, Kaleica is seen in that hotel room, just one day before she was killed. And she was with one her female friends.
Her mom believes that multiple girls were there with her for the “party”, and may have possibly been present at the time of the shooting.
And there’s more. Just a few hours before being killed, Kalecia leaked this video of her twerk dancing. At the end of the video, something happens which scares Kalecia – she seems startled and jumps back.
MTO News has made the editorial decision not to post the twerking video, which shows the underage Kalecia in a very unflattering light.
But Kalecia’s family members have seen the video – and they believe that it contains evidence, that could help answer questions about her death.
MTO News reached out to the Atlanta Police Department for comment. So far they have not responded to our request.
