A reality TV contest winner and her husband were arrested and charged with the beating death of a 3-year-old child on Tuesday, Jan. 19, MTO News has learned.
Ariel Robinson, 29 and her husband Jerry Robinson, 34, were arrested by the Simpsonville police and charged with homicide by child abuse.
Police are calling the couple “suspects” in the murder 3 year old Victoria Rose Smith, who died by multiple blunt force injuries.
According to police, they responded to a 911 call about an unresponsive child who was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital, Fox Carolina reported.
Prosecutors say that the injuries were inflicted by the Robinsons. It’s not clear what the Robinson’s relationship to the deceased child.

Ariel Robinson was the winner of season 20 of Food Network’s “Worst Cooks in America.”
In an interview with Fox Carolina News after her win, she said she was a mother of five.
Child protective services told police they are aware of the arrests and they are “taking appropriate action with any children remaining in the home after evaluating safety and risk.”
The Robinsons are currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond, according to Fox Carolina.
