Union leaders told a press conference at the Singhu Border that they will block the roads between 12 pm to 3 pm on February 6.
Farmers for over two months now, are demanding a rollback of the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
The government has offered some concessions including keeping the new farm laws on hold for 1-1.5 years and the Supreme Court has set up a panel to look into the matter while keeping the contentious legislation in abeyance for two months.
However, the agitating farmer unions have rejected both and intensified their stir.
