LIVE market updates: The Indian markets were trading over half a per cent higher, in Thursday’s noon deals, lifted by metals, IT, and auto stocks.
The S&P BSE Sensex traded 350 points, or 0.68 per cent, higher at 50,000 levels, and the Nifty50 index topped the 14,900-mark. Tech Mahindra, HDFC, Bajaj Finserv, UltraTech Cement, and IndusInd Bank rose over 1 per cent each, and were the top Sensex gainers.
The Nifty sectoral indices were painted green, led by Nifty Metal index, up 5 per cent.
In the broader markets, the S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices traded 1 per cent higher, each.
